She's at it Again

This gal is a blanket guru. She has all kinds, soft ones, fuzzy ones, quilted ones, fleece ones. They are tucked in every nook and cranny of her bedroom. Her college dorm room is decorated in the homespun quilt look.

So I was not surprised when she wanted to take her money she earned while on break during her short summer in trade for fabric for a new quilt. I shouldn't be surprised that she is on the sewing machine for hours on end, nipping and tucking and piecing away.

Here is a quick preview and we'll have to share the finished product once it's completed.

It's going to be a rag quilt with all the seams on the outside, cut and frayed for a tattered ragged look. Sounds pretty comfy to me!

Oh and by the way - Did you Hear the News?

I can't believe it's been a year since the big wedding. These last 365 days have really flown by! Just this time last year we were in the thick of wedding planning, notes to the florist, shopping for ribbon, designing wedding cake, pulling weeds and more and more weeds . . .

Happy Anniversary Karianne & Greg!
We love you tons!

Life is Crazy . . .

Life is crazy . . .
That's all there is to it,

I've just resigned myself to the fact that it is always going to be so . . .

When I had little kids at home, I thought that life was crazy,
but I was optimistic that someday it would not be so.

When I was a young mom, with four kids under 10
and a full time nursing student, life was crazy.
But someday I would finish school, and then life would settle down,
and we'd leave those crazy days behind . . . never happened . . .

When I had a houseful of teenage kids, life was crazy.
And I thought as they began moving out, going off to college, getting married
that someday it would not be so . . . still waiting . . .

And years later, working as an RN, nurturing a photography business,
Relief Society President, still a mom and wife I didn't think we could fit in one more thing . . .

Then these little faces appeared.
and it's off to the park, stroller walks, playdough, crayons everywhere,
diaper changes, naptimes, mac&cheese, peanut butter, spilled milk,
swingsets, trampolines, carseats, water-water-everywhere, bathtimes, bedtimes . . .
And life is crazy.

Hee hee! Just one More . . .

I've shared these before but thought this one was worth it's own post . . .

Catalog Living-

Gary has no idea what exactly Elaine does in the shower every day, but he certainly knows better than to touch her wooden shower spoon or shower branch.

"God Allows us Trials, Because they Help us Love"

I wonder if any of us could be as forgiving?

I know you have a few minutes to watch . . . you'll be glad you did . . .
