is a
BEAUTIFUL
movie!
For for me, it was the perfect girls day out.
I can make no comparisons to the book since I have not read it and don't really have the desire to read it anytime soon either. But I did enjoy the movie. The scenery is beautiful, the cast members are mostly delightful.
And while I didn't go seeking any philosophical enlightenment, I did come away with a little inspiration -
I could hardly wait to get home and create one of our family favorites for dinner tonight -
Our generational Italian spaghetti with homemade sauce. It's always a hit and reminds me of our family relationships. Ahhhh . . . even now the tomatoes and just picked garden herbs are simmering away.
And just my own two cents -
Eat
Pray
and
Love
I highly recommend, all three, not necessarily in that order.

This is the most positive review I've heard yet! I wanted to go last weekend and caught a nasty cold--and with all the poor reviews I was thinking I'd wait for it to come out on DVD. Now, I gotta go!
Your meal sounds delish!
It probably would be better to pray before you eat. :-) And your meal sounds so yummy. It is making my mouth water just thinking about it.
I haven't watched it yet. I'm still in California. My girls will probably hound me to watch it when I get home.
I really liked the book, but I wasn't sure the movie would be worth watching...maybe I'll go see it, though, since you gave it a good review. :)
I am soo glad to read a good review about this movie. I had only heard negative things, if you can believe it. And I usually love Julia Robert's films!
I didn't read the book but really enjoyed the movie. It was a girls day out for me also..we all enjoyed!
