(whispering)
There's a surprise in the fridge for breakfast in the morning.
We're trying something new . . .
It's General Conference Strata, and it looks so amazing!
General Conference Strata
1 green pepper diced
1 red pepper diced
3 roma tomatoes - diced
1/2 sweet onion diced
1# sausage
8 slices of heavy bread (french bread)
8 eggs beaten
1 1/2 C milk
2 C grated cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 C milk
Brown the sausage in a saute pan with the diced vegetables.
In a PAM spray prepared 9x11 baking dish, tear bread into bite sized pieces. Mix milk into beaten eggs and pour over the bread crumbs. Top with the sausage and vegetable mixture. Top with the grated cheese. Refrigerate over night.
In the morning - mix the soup and the milk together and pour over the strata. Cover lightly with foil and back at 300 degrees for one hour. Removing foil for last 20 minutes of baking. Strata is done when the center is solid and lightly browned on top.
It's kinda dark because everyone else has gone to bed . . .
Hmmm . . . this looks so good, can't wait 'til morning!
A little General Conference brain food :)
Just sitting in fridge waiting to be baked just in time

LOL - All I saw in the fridge was the diet coke. I;m sure your dinner was delicious! And wasn't Conference THE BEST?!?!
Fun post. And I am jealous of your conference morning feast!

PS. Wasn't Elder Holland's talk good? And I loved the Guatemalan seventy that spoke about marriage, too.
Looks yummy! Was it good? Love general conference. It was so needed in my life.
