For a while I put a moratorium on purchasing any more books. I did okay for a couple months and then I just couldn't resist. But as you can see . . . I'm getting further and further behind.
Do any of you have a nightstand that looks like this? And . . . YES, I really am reading all of these books at the same time! And . . . YES, I really do keep chocolate on my nightstand. I'm a firm believer in chocolate every night before bedtime! I need all the antioxidants, endorphins and serotonin I can get :)
If you don't participate in GOODREADS, you really must give it a try. Come on over and be my friend!

My nightstand always looks like that too except my chocolate is inside of it, hiding from the kids. We even have some books in common. I need to do a better job of keeping my GoodReads updated. I read Nineteen Minutes. Jodi Picoult is intense.
Yeah, not only do I have books on my nightstand, there are books in the drawer and on the shelf of it as well!
Oh my! You are right! We do have things in common. Your stacks of books made me laugh. I have that all over my house--which is why we just went and bought a new bookcase, but also why I am ordering more as well. I don't get to read as often as I would like though, preparing my seminary lesson each day demands a lot of my study/reading time, so I try to make up for it in the summer and during Christmas break. I am still terrible in a bookstore though. The cash registers start jingling when I walk through the door.
I'm glad someone else besides Lincoln has the same fetish!
My nightstand looks the same including the chocolate that is hidden behind the books. I also have stacks of books on the floor next to my nightstand. I felt a little guilty about it until I visited my oldest friend (I've known her since kindergarten) and saw her stacks of books on the floor, too. It's always better to have a friend to be a slob with. I desperately need a bookshelf in my room. I also need room for a bookshelf in my room.
