This is my youngest daughter Kelsie's last formal dance . . . sigh . . .
She graduates from high school in exactly 24 days. My goodness, how the time has flown by. I remember other mother's warning me that this would happen, but somehow I am still unprepared.
Kelsie was reviewing her summer schedule with me, and thank goodness she will be home from time to time during the summer before she leaves for college out of state in the fall. Gives me a chance to get used to the empty house syndrome. It's slowly dawning on me that the clutter around here is as much from myself as anyone. Somehow, I thought it would disappear when the kids did.
Anyway, I digress . . . she had such a fun time at the prom, and I must admit I splurged a little and let her do her hair and nails. After all, she borrowed the dress, a mom's gotta spend a little money on the prom. I actually bought her a pair of beautiful new shoes for the prom also. She shopped and shopped for them. You can see them in the photo's below.
I'm so glad she had a GREAT time. I'm so pleased she was able to go out and celebrate on this fun occasion with many friends before they all begin to scatter in the wind.
Oh wow . . . the days are winding down . . .

Um is it just me or does her date look like 'Edward'?
I love the shoes!
I cannot even comprehend having an empty house.
I love the pictures!
Those pictures are priceless! I too love the shoes. The dress is such a wonderful color. She is beautiful. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
Oh Wow! Here you are with your last one to graduate, and I am on my first. Although the others are not far behind. Its so scary, somedays I want to cry and others I am just so proud of him for making it. :) We have splurged alot for this year. Pictures, Sr pic, trip to Carowinds, NY! Hes been busy. And a few hours after graduation he leaves for Alaska.... It just went soooo fast.....
Too cute and funny with the shoes. What great memories for your daughter.
The kids start leaving and then all of a sudden they start coming back. What's up with that?? The peace and quiet may not last too long.
I love the pictures. How fun for them to have you take them. They could certainly skip the long picture line at the dance! Sorry about it being your last child. I have my fourth going off to college in the fall and my fifth and last with three years more at home. She is not liking the idea of being alone. So sad to only have three of us at the kitchen table. :-(
Those are great shots!
coming from the 100's club, come visit when you have a chance:)
She is beautiful and modest and fun. What a perfect combination. I teach 16 Laurels, and what I wish they could all hear is how the missionaries feel about the way the girls dress. They have no desire to ever date the girls who are not unfailingly modest. That is because they are the best of the best missionaries. We have the zone leaders, and the best missionaries only want to go home and date the best girls. Clearly, that is Kelsie. You must be so proud of her!
Love the shoes:)
How fun! Love the pics, and the dress and the shoes {LOL}
Kristin,
the pictures are fabulous! I wish I could shoot like you do, but my camera is getting the better of me. Thanks for stopping by my blog, too.
Cheers!
How fun! I have 2 boys in HS and 1 in Elementary. It is going really fast! Too Fast!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out my cupcakes!

Love the photos! Have fun-visiting from MBC.
what great photos, I wish I had such great photos for my own prom.
I'll be back more to see how the transition goes, I have a daughter myself and although she is only two, I already dread her going off to college.
Two great posts! One on the mmb site and this one. I am only one year behind you as my baby is a junior. Glad we can go through things like this together!!
I am from mom bloggers club and I am following you now
