And about your birthday . . . I noticed on your profile you had down you were 49. My husband turned 50 last fall and I had a three day celebration for him. The first day was with immediate family, the second just with me (we went away) and the third with about 25 close friends. It was very fun and he loved all of it. For my 40th he took me on a hot air balloon ride because he said you need to start each year doing something you haven't done before so you know there is still life to live. HOWEVER . . .I turn 50 in June and thought I wanted a big party but now I think I just want to go away and pretend it isn't happening. So that is why I was wondering what your plans were and how you were dealing with it. But I agree, if you are up to it, do it in style!
At my house my kids always un-make everything I make. So I don't feel like much of a home-maker.
But I bet I will find some good tips from others.
