It's Beginning . . .

. . . to look a lot like Christmas!

Photobucket

Everywhere you go!

I just stepped outside to make sure my husband hadn't fallen off the roof, and brought along the camera as proof that he was actually up on a ladder (and the roof) putting up the Christmas lights. It's a job he usually doesn't do as he's afraid of heights. I thought my kids would never believe it, so I had to be sure it was documented.

Our 24 year old son, Cory, has been the "official" Christmas lights hanger for many years now.

And what to my wondering eyes should appear? I looked around the neighborhood and there were light hangers

"up on the housetops"

all of them :)

I don't know about your neighborhoods, but around here . . .

It's beginning to look an awful lot

like Christmas!

Don't you just love Christmas and all the lights, it is great. I love driving around and seeing how everyone has decorated their houses.

I have tagged you on my blog for a Christmas Meme, I hope that you will post with your answers. http://www.justbeingamum.com/2009/12/02/some-christmas-fun-getting-to-know-you/ .. Just a bit of fun.

My neighbors were hanging their lights up, and I was thinking "its WAY to early", then I realized IT is TIME!! And I must admit, I'm getting in the mood!!!

Oh it sure does in our new neighborhood too! Unfortunately our new house will be bare this year of lights. No time this Christmas.

I like the brave soul up there sprawling out on the roof! He gets a thumbs up.

I always want my husband to hang up lights but he thinks that is too dangerous (it would be on a second story) I don't think showing him these pictures would help any. :-)

Mine are up too, but so far I'm the only one in the neighborhood. :(

We had very mild weather this last weekend and I saw many people out getting their lights up. When I was out last night it was so fun to see all the lights in the neighborhood on.
My husband has a bit of a fear of heights but he will get up there and do it because he knows I like it and the kids are always so thrilled to see the Christmas lights.

I absolutely love this time of year! We're finishing up our decorations, now we just need presents under the tree!

Yes, your neighborhood always looks very Christmasy...lots to keep up with. My husbands like yours, not a light hanger. I'm sure you were very proud.

We always have good intentions to put up our lights before Halloween, because after that it's just waaay to cold! Today here in n. Idaho it is about 25 degrees. And it's 2 in the afternoon, the "warmest" time of the day!

I love the pic of him straddling the roof.

These pics are great. What a cute idea to post them. Timely, too, because they bring to mind my blog today with the guy hanging off the roof! (Except your guy was straddling the roof...)

=)
